About This Service
Distinguish Ash From Passage Deposits
Ash at the hearth is not the whole cleaning job. The passage and collection areas may contain deposits that need different access. We discuss the agreed scope rather than treat a tidy opening as evidence that the connected chimney has received maintenance.
Use the Appliance Instructions
Maintenance guidance can differ between models and connected systems. General advice is not a replacement for the relevant manual. Twin considers that information when discussing the sweep and explains why access or preparation may differ from another fireplace in the same home.
Review a Recent Appliance Change
A service record for the old stove may no longer describe the current connection. Tell us when equipment was replaced and keep the new manual available. Cleaning should be planned for the installed system; uncertainty about the replacement installation must not be hidden inside an ordinary maintenance request.
Do Not Promise a Sweep Will Correct Draft
A cleaning request may follow smoke entering the room, but removing deposits is not proof that every operating concern has been resolved. Keep the system unused and describe the event. Twin distinguishes the deposit-removal task from assessment of the reason smoke did not leave as expected.
