About This Service
Include Relevant Venting Concerns
A repair request sometimes begins at the control but also involves a vent termination or another part of the installed system. The symptom alone does not establish which component needs replacement.
Explain any recent roof, wall or fireplace work. Where additional venting assessment is needed, it should be named in the scope rather than hidden inside a general appliance-repair line.
Discuss a Part You Have Already Purchased
If you bought a replacement component before booking, provide its exact reference and the appliance identification. A seller’s compatibility description should be checked against the installed system before the part becomes the basis of the repair.
Tell Twin whether the original component remains fitted. The proposed work can then address assessment, suitable parts and installation responsibilities without assuming a customer-supplied item resolves the reported fault.
Identify the Ignition System First
A standing-pilot arrangement and an electronic ignition system have different controls and service requirements. A description such as “the pilot will not light” is useful, but it does not establish which components your unit contains.
The assessment should identify the ignition system from the appliance and its documentation. That keeps a familiar symptom from turning into an unsupported order for parts used on a different model.
Treat a Safety Shutdown as Information
A protective control that stops operation must not be disabled to make the fireplace run. On models with specialized safety features, repeated shutdown calls for identifying the cause under the correct service procedure.
Twin can assess the reported behavior and explain the proposed repair. An apparent restart after a pause is not proof that the underlying condition has resolved.
Identify a Powered Venting System
A fireplace with a power vent has an exhaust arrangement that differs from its room-air blower. A reported fan problem needs that distinction before a component is ordered.
Tell Twin about any power-vent message or equipment listed in the installation records. Professional assessment must follow that system’s instructions and safety controls.
