About This Service
Start With the Fireplace and Fuel
Gas log installation requires the host fireplace and the selected system to be compatible. Vented gas log installation and vent free gas log installation have different requirements. Twin discusses the actual product and permitted arrangement before installation.
Gas fireplace log installation also depends on the specified fuel and supply. A natural gas system is not assumed interchangeable with propane. Connections and any fuel changes require the appropriate professional work.
Keep the Log Set Matched
Gas log replacement should use the specified components and arrangement. Decorative pieces are not interchangeable accessories to place wherever they look best. The burner and log layout belong to the approved system.
Tell us whether there is an existing log set and share its identification if available. If gas is smelled, leave and contact emergency services or the utility from a safe location before requesting ordinary installation service.
Compare the Complete Set and Installation
A useful proposal identifies the actual set, its compatible components and the work needed to install it appropriately. Ask which existing parts can remain and which requirements still need to be satisfied. The appearance of the logs alone does not answer those questions.
Keep the product instructions after installation and use only the equipment and fuel specified for the set. If an operating problem appears, stop use and arrange assessment instead of changing the arrangement to experiment. Suspected gas leakage requires emergency guidance before a service appointment.
Specify the Matched Log Set
Gas log set installation should identify the burner, decorative components and required arrangement. A gas fireplace log replacement is not simply a choice of pieces that appear to fit. Retaining an existing burner requires confirmation that the proposed components belong to the specified set.
For ventless gas logs, installation requirements and application limits need to be reviewed before equipment is chosen. Vented and vent-free sets should not be substituted on appearance alone. Twin discusses the selected set and its actual instructions as part of the proposal.
