About This Service
Distinguish Ash From Passage Deposits
Ash at the hearth is not the whole cleaning job. The passage and collection areas may contain deposits that need different access. We discuss the agreed scope rather than treat a tidy opening as evidence that the connected chimney has received maintenance.
Separate Cleaning From Repair
Sweeping removes deposits within the agreed scope. It does not make a broken component sound. If damage is identified, we explain its role and the proposed repair separately, so the cleaning request does not become permission for unrelated work.
Review What Was Not Accessible
A cleaning visit should not leave you assuming every concealed area was reached. We explain limitations and whether a further assessment is recommended. An area outside the agreed access remains an open question, not a confirmed clean or sound part of the system.
Mention Covered Cleanout Access
A cleanout or other service opening may be obstructed by storage or later finish work. Tell Twin about any access point already known to you. The cleaning plan can address that limitation without requiring the homeowner to remove a cover, dismantle cabinetry or create an opening before the assessment.
