About This Service
Avoid Chemical Preparation
Do not add products or light a fire in an attempt to prepare an obstructed or suspect chimney for service. Keep the system unused and describe the concern when booking. The assessment determines the appropriate cleaning or other work for the condition present.
Keep Each Fireplace Identified
Where a home has more than one fireplace, tell us which system needs cleaning and what is known about each. Service history should not be transferred from one opening to another. The proposal can identify separate scopes and the appliance connected to each passage.
Review the Cleaning Price With the Scope
A price for the opening alone is not necessarily comparable with work on a connected venting passage. Twin explains the included areas and access assumptions before approval. Ask what findings would require separate work so the appointment does not leave the scope ambiguous.
Treat Loose Material as a Separate Finding
Material reported in the fireplace may be deposits or may warrant assessment of a component above it. Do not assume that sweeping is the complete repair. Describe what you have already observed, leave suspect parts undisturbed and let the proposed service distinguish cleaning from investigation of the source.
