About This Service
Describe the timing of visible water
Tell us where water first appears and when you noticed it. A stain can mark an earlier event rather than an active entry point. Assessment considers the reported pattern and relevant chimney components without assuming that the nearest visible crack caused the leak.
Make inaccessible areas explicit
Some areas cannot be assessed through ordinary available access. That limitation should remain visible in the explanation of findings. Twin discusses whether another step is needed to resolve the question, rather than treating an unseen component as confirmed sound or confirmed damaged.
Understand a Damper Observation
A handle that moves does not by itself describe the position or condition of every connected part. Tell us what seems different and avoid forcing the mechanism. The assessment identifies the relevant components before a damper adjustment, repair or replacement is proposed as the next step.
Use Photos as Supporting Information
A photograph can record a visible condition, but it cannot establish every dimension, connection or hidden surface. Share images already available without creating access risk. Twin uses them as context for the assessment, not as proof that an unseen area has been inspected or that a repair can be fully specified remotely.
