About This Service
Mention Changes in Smoke Behavior
Smoke entering the room needs assessment rather than another fire to see whether the problem clears. Describe when it happened and what changed. EPA guidance recognizes regular smoke or smoke odor as a possible problem; cleaning alone should not be presented as a diagnosis.
Discuss Service Before a Property Handover
For a move or rental change, identify the fireplace that needs attention and who can provide access. We can explain the cleaning scope and any finding requiring another decision. Do not assume a general sweep automatically satisfies every condition in a property transaction.
Separate Exterior Stains From Internal Deposits
A dark mark on an exterior chimney or above the fireplace is not the same task as removing deposits inside an agreed cleaning area. Describe where you see the material. Twin can clarify whether your request is for sweeping, assessment of operation or treatment of a separate surface condition.
Do Not Promise a Sweep Will Correct Draft
A cleaning request may follow smoke entering the room, but removing deposits is not proof that every operating concern has been resolved. Keep the system unused and describe the event. Twin distinguishes the deposit-removal task from assessment of the reason smoke did not leave as expected.
