About This Service
Understand separate repair recommendations
An inspection may identify more than one issue. The recommendation should explain each task and its purpose instead of grouping unrelated work under a single vague repair label. We discuss paid work and its price separately from the owner-offered free inspection.
Assess a long-idle fireplace on its present condition
A fireplace's appearance or the time since it was last lit cannot by itself establish readiness for use. Share what is known about the idle period and any earlier concerns. Twin assesses the actual installation and explains any maintenance or further investigation proposed.
Distinguish an observation from a conclusion
A visible crack, loose part or stain is an observation that needs context. The repair recommendation should explain why the condition matters and what the task addresses. We avoid presenting a brief symptom description as a complete diagnosis of hidden components.
Define Follow-Up Questions After the Visit
If the assessment leaves an unresolved issue, keep that question specific: a component that needs identification, an area needing access or another task requiring review. A useful next-step explanation describes what information is missing instead of presenting uncertainty as either a completed repair or proof of a major failure.
