About This Service
Discuss Earlier Component Work
A replacement part or previous blockage can be relevant to cleaning access and the reason for the visit. Share available records. Their purpose is to clarify what was installed or reported, not to assume the current chimney condition from a past invoice.
Mention Covered Cleanout Access
A cleanout or other service opening may be obstructed by storage or later finish work. Tell Twin about any access point already known to you. The cleaning plan can address that limitation without requiring the homeowner to remove a cover, dismantle cabinetry or create an opening before the assessment.
Ask About Debris Handling
Deposit removal and the condition in which the work area is left should be clear parts of the cleaning discussion. Identify nearby furnishings or surfaces that need consideration before the visit. The scope should explain the agreed cleanup without implying that chimney sweeping includes unrelated room cleaning or finish restoration.
Do Not Promise a Sweep Will Correct Draft
A cleaning request may follow smoke entering the room, but removing deposits is not proof that every operating concern has been resolved. Keep the system unused and describe the event. Twin distinguishes the deposit-removal task from assessment of the reason smoke did not leave as expected.
