About This Service
Give each fireplace its own identity
Where a property has several fireplaces, identify which one has the concern. Equipment, prior repairs and maintenance history can differ. Findings about one system should not be silently applied to a second unit simply because both are at the same address.
Do not use a test fire to investigate smoke
If the concern involves smoke entering the home, explain what happened without lighting another fire to reproduce it. Leave the system unused until the issue is assessed. A description of the event and accessible equipment information are more appropriate preparation for the appointment.
Distinguish an observation from a conclusion
A visible crack, loose part or stain is an observation that needs context. The repair recommendation should explain why the condition matters and what the task addresses. We avoid presenting a brief symptom description as a complete diagnosis of hidden components.
Use Photos as Supporting Information
A photograph can record a visible condition, but it cannot establish every dimension, connection or hidden surface. Share images already available without creating access risk. Twin uses them as context for the assessment, not as proof that an unseen area has been inspected or that a repair can be fully specified remotely.
