About This Service
Plan Removal of Damaged Material
The scope should describe which material is being removed and which surrounding parts remain. That distinction affects preparation and repair boundaries. We discuss any uncertainty before starting and explain new findings that change the proposed work before asking for additional authorization.
Account for Multiple Systems
If the property has more than one fireplace, identify which chimney the concern affects. Do not assume a repair or maintenance record for one applies to another. We can separate the scopes so each system's work is clear in the proposal and future records.
Review the Repaired Area
At completion, discuss the work covered by the accepted scope and any remaining concern. Keep the record with the property information. The repair handover should help you understand what changed rather than leave every component described under the same general service name.
Do Not Use a Fire as a Test
A damaged or malfunctioning fireplace should not be relit merely to see whether the problem returns. Explain the prior behavior to Twin and arrange assessment. If there is an active fire or other immediate danger, contact emergency services from a safe place first.
