About This Service
Let the Fireplace Cool
Plan enough time for the fireplace and remaining material to be cold before service. Tell us about recent use when arranging the appointment. Preparation should focus on access and the work area; it does not require a homeowner to remove installed parts or attempt roof access.
Treat Hardened Deposits Separately
Ordinary sweeping and removal of heavy hardened accumulation may require different approaches. The assessment should identify that distinction rather than promise every deposit will be addressed by the same method. We explain the proposed service and any separate work before additional authorization.
Keep Fuel Information in the Request
Tell us what the fireplace or connected appliance burns. That information helps identify the system and maintenance discussion. We do not assume that an unfamiliar opening is still used in the same way as when the home was built or previously occupied.
Clarify Whether Glass Care Is Included
Appliance glass and chimney deposits are different cleaning surfaces. A quote for sweeping should identify whether any glass care is included and follow the applicable product requirements. Do not treat an ordinary household cleaner as suitable for every fireplace panel or attempt to remove a panel simply to prepare the visit.
